"A Bite at Last" (ca. 1890s)
"Calves Crossing the Stream" (ca. 1890s)
Still laughing at the last stereoview in the collection. I had to use a magnifying glass to read the fine print at the bottom. It really does say "calves."
And so . . . here we are . . . "Z" end of 26 nearly perfect days! Thank you Arlee and everyone else for making the A-Z possible. I cannot thank all of you enough for reading my blog and for your support and humor in comments. I loved your spunk and the many inspirational and adventuresome posts you wrote. You made me laugh, you made me cry, and you made me think. I learned so much from you!!
NOW for a good long nap!!!

You are more than welcome, and I thank you for being a regular visitor and contributor to Square Pegs.
ReplyDeleteWell done on your A-Z Challenge, I’m really going to miss these stereoviews.
ReplyDeleteLOL, both of those pics show ladies' calves. Some people probably thought they were risque one hundred and twenty years ago. We've come a long way...
ReplyDeleteThis one is so funny! Well, we made it through. You made an excellent choice to share your stereo views with the world. We loved seeing them. Z-Z-Z--yes, time for a bit of a rest.
ReplyDeleteGreat finish! Women's calves were a big deal back in the day, how funny.
ReplyDeleteHappy Z Day!

I have really enjoyed your A-Z theme.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win!!
I am with you on the nap, Sharon, and on the thanks to Arlee and his crew. It was an exhausting journey but fun. Love your spin on Z. Very clever. God bless, Maria at Delight Directed Living
ReplyDeleteWe've all earned nice long naps. Well done on completing the challenge.

Love the legs! I have so enjoyed your stereoviews and the glimpse of the past, what an entertaining theme!
ReplyDeleteWell done on the finish Sharon!
Yet another fascinating stereoview, Sharon! I've enjoyed this soooo much (although I think I'd whack someone who called me a "calf"--or was the "calves" in this stereoview referring to the girls' exposed legs? I hope it's that.). Enjoy a break from blogging! Or are you going to dive right in with daily posts in May, too???
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful journey - and I've only seen about ten of them! I'll be strolling through your A-Z now that things are easing up. I started following this wonderful blog the first day I stuck my head in! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Who knew that a month of blogging could get so exhausting?
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon, I say YES to the nap, and for enduring to the end of this Challenge. I loved your posts and your awesome writing ability. Congrats for making it to The End. I will definitely keep in touch. Well, until next year then, may your journey be a good one and your blogging a success.
ReplyDeleteAlso thanks for the old pictures. I really enjoyed the memories.
ReplyDeleteOh my, they're showing their ankles! How scandalous!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the A-Z and on your lovely Blog. I have you bookmarked so I can pop in every now and then and increase my smile-o-meter.
