Celebrate the Small Things: The Cure for Yesterday Is Today

"I have no Yesterdays,
Time took them away.
Tomorrow may not be,
But I have Today"

----Pearl Yeadon McGinnis

Well, we DO have the memories of those yesterdays, but point taken. We cannot turn back the clock. One memory I cherish is of my family in the above photo, taken at a recent wedding. A good title I think would simply be "love." What do you think? It still warms my heart to see it.

I hope you have a good day. Or if this is your day's end, ask yourself, did you move one step forward, several maybe? Great! A goal achieved. Maybe it wasn't a 'task day' at all, but a 'people day'. Perhaps you didn't budge at all but sat with a sick child all day or cared for an ailing parent, spouse or friend. Whatever your moment in time, I hope it was one of your best days.

Have a Nice Weekend Everyone!

  1. Memories are precious. With a dear friend in ICU, I'm being content that maybe there won't be any more moments than right now. And to me that sounds like what you're saying. So I'm on the right track at least. In fact it gives me hope - thank you.

P.S. Sharon, I love those shoes you have on. They look so comfy and stylish! Have a very peaceful weekend - you just made mine (smile).

  2. You and I have two different linky tools. I don't see my blog listed here. It's on the link I have posted. However, some of the blogs on my don't work, but they work on your site. Big uh-oh.

  3. I love that photo! It reminds me of a similar one that was taken at my own wedding - twelve years ago now. It shows my whole family taken from a sneaky angle and it somehow captures the mood of the day better than all the pictures we posed for. Lovely post, Sharon xx

    1. Thanks. Funny how pics do that sometimes. Some of the best are random shots.

  7. This is a very sweet photo as everyone is touching someone to be all united. It is so nice. We must cherish our memories since some of us, when we get older, may start losing what we hold dear. Write the memories down and enjoy each moment. i have a working day:)

    1. It was the touch that grew and grew. I love it. And true...about forgetting. We need these reminders, don't we? Enjoy your weekend, Birgit.

"Stay" is a charming word in a friend's vocabulary
(A.B. Alcott). Stay and visit awhile. Your comments mean a lot to me.
